Tell Your Medical Education Story
Visualize Your Story with a Photo
It's Your Story–Tell It!
It's more than a clinical experience–it's a chapter in the story of your medical education. Now's your chance to share your story about why you chose to become a doctor, nurse or other healthcare professional.
You can write about where you're at toward reaching that goal or why an AMO rotation will help you take the next step toward it.
Or you can write about something else entirely–don't be afraid to think outside of the box with this!
Here are some additional ideas*
- Tell us why you got into the medical field
- Tell us about the specialty you are pursuing and why you are pursuing that field
- Tell us why an AMO rotation could help you move closer to your career goals.
*Entries must be at least 300 words and include at least one (1) pictures/screenshots from your medical education career so far.

Outside of a Hospital or School
Pictures taken outside a previous rotation site are a great way to showcase where you rotated.
If you're just starting your clinical years, a photo at your school or classroom works great, too!
Take a Screenshot
Many trainees may have experience with virtual clinical rotations. If this is you, your photo can be a screenshot!

What our trainees say
My time in Chicago was amazing. Dr. A was great from when I enrolled in my gastroenterology rotation to this day. I learned a lot about procedures, diseases, and communication with patients, but I also learned life as a doctor is what you make of it, and Dr. A decided to make it fun. Along with a clinical rotation, I ended up having a whole “American experience,” as well as a new friend. I’m grateful AMO gave me that opportunity.
It was a wonderful experience. It wasn’t just only a clinical experience but the experience of a lifetime that is helping me on my way to residency. I learned how the American health system works, how to become part of it, and, perhaps most importantly, the most effective ways to treat patients.
I would like to start out by thanking AMO and the coaches, who were there at every step, for this fantastic opportunity. I got a lot out of it regarding medicine, tourism, a positive outlook on life, and motivation.
